Your FIrst Visit

Welcome! If you’re new to SWC, we’re so glad you’re here. This page will walk you through everything you need to know before stepping onto the Megaformer for the first time. We’re here to guide you every step of the way.

  • At SWC, pink isn’t just a color—it’s a feeling. The soft, elevated pink palette was intentionally chosen to create a space that feels warm, empowering, and uniquely feminine. It reflects our commitment to self-care, intentional living, and celebrating strength through softness. Everything here is designed to uplift your energy from the moment you walk in—and pink just happens to do that beautifully.

  • Yes! While Lagree is known for being intense and challenging, it’s absolutely suitable for all fitness levels. New clients are always welcome and encouraged to try the method.

Our certified Lagree instructors offer modifications to make each class accessible and are trained to support you at every stage of your Lagree journey—whether it’s your first class or your fiftieth.

  • The Lagree Method is a full-body, high-intensity, low-impact workout that blends strength training, endurance, core stabilization, and cardio—all in just 45 minutes.

It’s performed on a patented machine called the Megaformer, which uses spring-based resistance and slow, controlled movements to target your slow-twitch muscle fibers. These movements challenge your muscles to the point of fatigue with minimal rest, helping you build strength, improve stability, and increase muscular endurance—all while being gentle on your joints.

Lagree is designed to sculpt, shake, and transform—mind and body.

  • Grip socks are required on the Megaformer and can be purchased in-studio or through the app. We recommend wearing something you can move freely and confidently in—comfort is key.

We provide cold, filtered water and cups in the back, but you’re welcome to bring your own water bottle if you prefer to refill throughout your visit. Fresh towels are provided in-studio for both class and post-workout refreshment.

  • While Lagree and Pilates may look similar at a glance, they’re actually very different. Lagree is a patented method performed exclusively on Megaformers, and it’s in a category of its own—designed to be more intense, dynamic, and results-driven.

It blends core stability, muscular endurance, cardio, and strength into a single, low-impact workout that pushes your limits while protecting your joints. Only licensed studios with certified Lagree instructors and Megaformer equipment can teach Lagree.

Simply put—this isn’t Pilates. It’s Lagree. And it changes everything.

  • Expect a fast-paced, full-body workout that’s challenging, low-impact, and unlike anything you’ve done before. You’ll leave feeling strong, empowered, and accomplished.

Please plan to arrive at least 10 minutes early so your instructor can introduce you to the Megaformer and help you feel confident before class begins. (This is required for all first-timers!) You can purchase grip socks at the studio if you don’t have a pair—these are required for safety.

Your instructor will guide you through each movement with verbal, visual, and tactile cues, and you’ll always be offered modifications if needed. And if you feel confused at any point—don’t worry! Just keep moving, look at your neighbors, and remember: shaking is a good thing.

You can expect to sweat, shake, and feel sore after class—in all the best ways.

  • The shake zone is that sweet spot where your muscles begin to visibly shake—because they’re working to their edge. This happens when your slow-twitch muscle fibers are fully engaged and your stabilizers are firing to maintain control.

It’s not just a feeling—it’s a physiological sign that you’re building deep strength, improving endurance, and increasing muscular efficiency. This level of activation leads to better stability, lean muscle growth, boosted calorie burn (even after class), and a powerful sense of mental resilience.

At SWC, we celebrate the shake. It means transformation is happening.

More Questions? WE’ve Got You

Every detail at SWC is intentional, including how we support you. Below you’ll find answers to the questions we hear most often about the SWC experience.

    1. Late Cancellation
Lagree classes and sauna sessions must be cancelled at least 12 hours before the start time. If you cancel after the 12-hour window, a $25 late cancel fee will apply for membership holders.

If you do not show up for your booking, a $35 no-show fee will be charged.
Class credit holders will forfeit their credit for late cancels or no-shows.

    2. Parking
Free two hour street parking along PCH in front of the studio or free residential street parking behind the studio.

    3. Arrive on Time
New clients must arrive 10 minutes before class. No entry will be allowed after class has begun. This is to ensure everyone’s safety on the Mega. Strict 10 minute grace period for all returning clients to minimize distractions during class.

    4. Grip Socks
Grip socks are required, as we do not permit clients to use the Megaformers without socks. Grip socks may be purchased in studio (arrive early) or prior to class on the ‘SWC Lagree’ app!

    5. Get in Touch
In order to respond quickly to all of your inquiries, please reach out to us via email at info@swclagree.com. To help keep our clients and staff focused while class is in session, we do not take incoming calls at our studio.

  • Your membership includes unlimited access to Lagree classes and infrared saunas. You can book classes up to one month in advance.

You’re also welcome to bring a guest into the sauna with you at no extra charge, or bring a guest to class for $25.

To make your visit extra comfortable, we offer complimentary dry towels for class, cold eucalyptus towels post-workout, chapstick, hot tea, and coffee. Every detail is designed to support your wellness—inside and out.

  • SWC isn’t just a fitness studio—it’s a sanctuary. We’re rooted in self-love, community, and total-body wellness, creating a space where transformation feels both challenging and deeply supported.

Our 45-minute Lagree sessions are designed to push you with intention, using the latest Mega Pro machines featuring advanced panel tilts and upgraded indicia for optimal alignment and intensity.

Beyond the workout, we offer both infrared and traditional saunas, a private lounge with a self-serve espresso and tea bar, and thoughtful touches like dry towels and cold eucalyptus towels to elevate your experience.

Every detail at SWC is curated to help you feel your best—inside and out.

  • Both saunas promote detoxification, relaxation, and overall wellness—but they work in different ways.

A traditional sauna heats the air around you, which raises your core body temperature and makes you sweat. This can help improve respiratory health, support your immune system, ease muscle tension, and promote restful sleep and deep detoxification.

An infrared sauna, on the other hand, uses infrared light to heat your body directly without warming the air. This allows for a deeper, more comfortable sweat at a lower temperature—making it ideal for muscle recovery, stress relief, circulation, and skin clarity.

At SWC, both options are here to support your glow—from the inside out.

  • First of all—congratulations! We’d love to support you during this special season.

As long as you’ve been cleared by your doctor, pregnant clients are welcome in any of our regular classes. Lagree is a low-impact, core-focused method that can be incredibly supportive during pregnancy, especially for posture, strength, and stability.

Our certified instructors are trained to offer thoughtful modifications to ensure you feel safe, supported, and empowered throughout your workout. As always, listen to your body, stay hydrated, and take breaks as needed.

If you’re unsure or new to the method, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to guide you through what to expect or recommend instructors who are especially experienced with prenatal support.
